good morning,
I am Interested in asking the community thier opinions for what hardware

Very interesting
Regardless of cost, I have a similar setup with a T2000 and 10Gbe.
Can you tell me about any system tweaks, in particular TCP ?
Are you using jumbo frames for example ?

Jerald,
Thank you, I had been puzzled by that behaviour in our environment, just
never knew it was a "feature". Guess I should read MORE manuals.

I previously (pre 6.x) had this set to "a couple of weeks" it may have

Never had any issues with it, although I do aknologe the java gui did

Utilising disk mirroring, I have always found this the best

Greetings,
Although I am not currently defragmenting my current DSU volumes, I
previously had ~4TB in a single DSU under NBU 5.1 . This volume was
running vxfs and did receive a couple of hundred "small <100MB" jobs
each day, with Full backups each evening.
I did notice fragmentation on the volum

Good evening all,
I'm in the process of setting up another media server which will have

What have your experiences been with filesystem type X's performance

I'm running on a Solaris media server, so my interest directly lies with

Also, Very Interested,
My backup servers are 8core T2000's, we will be putting the SUN nxge

I have only seen poor results from the card in back to back
configuration (the network is not at 10Gbit yet). so far i have been
misserable with results in line with Mr Preston's.

Good evening,
I have another NBU 6.5 Question,
I have just completed my 5.1 to 6.5 upgrade, no real drama's with the

I am monitoring the progress of the scheduled backups to see how much
