My system hung this morning and when I tried starting netbackup it was
complaining that the db_marker.txt file is missing. Can I touch the file,
and start netbackup ..or is there something more to it?

Is it possible to back up multiple raw disk in a logical volume on hp-ux?
The volume is too big for me to back up, so I want to backup the individual
disks that make up the logical volume.
I'm trying to do this using the VxFS_Snapshot method.

Just to make sure I understand the process,
During a flashbackup, when a block is updated in the parition that is being
backed up, the previous contents of the block are written to the cache
partition. So the old data is copied to the cache, while any updated blocks
are written to the partition
I have windows clients that are continually hanging on streams that are
backing up system_state or shadow copy components. The job details window
shows /vrts_image_size_record as the current file being backed up -- which
is not a file, but a process the master server is doing to do some checks
Do you have to use SLP?
In the intial backup why don't you just do inline copy?

what version are you running? I was seeing the same error until I upgraded

Does anybody know how to set a windows client e-mail address for

I know that if you are on the client you can type bpconfig -ma email

We have an enviornment where we have 4 media servers and 1 master server.
Each server has at least 3 different nics/networks. We use one network for
administrative purposes, another for backup purposes, and a third for
production purposes.
I have my media master servers in a single policy. This policy is setup
to follow nfs mount points, and each server in the policy has the same nfs
mount point mounted.
I'm trying to have the backup that runs on my master server to be the only
