Is there any significant problem associated with increasing the catalog backup time (ie, do we run into any problems if it takes longer to back up)?

You can set the exclude list from GUI as well as from editing the registry entry-:
Entry need to be edited -: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/VERITAS/CONFIG/Exclude .

Hi All,
Need one urgent help,
MY company has asked me to implement the Netbackup buffers,
Does anyone know how to implement netbackup
buffers.Because Buffers we use are OS buffers i.e SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS.

because of the VSS verion , download the updated VSS version from the Microsoft
site and refire the backup

Update the VSS version on the windows 2003 box,
Check the Windows VSS current version on the Microsoft Website.

i have configured the SAP database backup on one of my server with 3
month retention period.
I changed the configuration file(initSAP.utl) parametrs like

I have a NDMP full backup that keeps failing with a 99 error code.

According to my knowledge , if all the drives went in to the AVR mode ,
it means some problem with the Robot of the library, and we need to reboot
the library, is there any other reason behind the AVR mode.

Dear All,
I am installing Netbackup clinet on Ubuntu Linux running kernel
version 2.6.15-28-686.
Installation went fine , without any error. But when i am trying to telnet
the bpcd port of the clinet from the master server. I am getting the error
"bpcd: relocation error: bpcd: symbol errn
