Hey Steve, I can confidently say if drives are lost from the O/S where a cfgadm or a reboot is needed to see them again NBU has absolutely nothing to do with it. Do you lose /dev/rmt entries? Can you see the drives in the output of a scan command? You might want to verify the persistant binding settings for the HBA card.
