We are currently running NBU 6.5.2 on HPUX and Linux we're finally getting things aligned to start an upgrade the first part of next year. Can I upgrade from 6.5 enterprise manager directly to 7.1 or 7.5 or do I have to go to 7.0 and up from there? Thanks in advance. Wayne BeDour Unix System

Wayne, You have to upgrade your NBU 6.5 to NBU 6.5.6 frist before upgrade to NBU 7.5 as we don't have direct upgrade path. Once you upgrade to NBU 6.5.6 then you have to upgrade to 7.1 then you can upgrade to 7.5 Thanks, Prasanna +-

Prasanna is correct that you have to patch to 6.5.6 first. But, you can upgrade directly to 7.5 from 6.5.6. I just checked the latest installation release notes on this. Be prepared for lots of changes to the NetBackup environment. The GUIs are pretty much the same but there are all sorts of

During the upgrade to 7.5, there are some changes to the catalog and it will take some time for the conversion to happen - the more images you have, the longer it will take. I would highly recommend you test this out if you have that opportunity. If you look here, http://netbackup.wordpress.com/,
