Remove the media from the L700e and have NetBackup inventory the robot. This
will put all the tapes into standalone.
Then put the tapes into the SL500 and inventory the new robot, NetBackup will
see the tapes in that new robot and adjust the locations accordingly.

Well back in the 3.4 days I had to do this.. From memory I done roughly
the following AFTER I don't a complete FULL CATALOGUE Backup of the Server
and had a Full Backup of the Media Server root drive
1) Media for this decommissioned Media Server to be related to the Netbackup
Server
2) Ens
On UNIX you would need to remove the entries from
/usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf for each corresponding server.
Looking (on our master) like this:

Can you do a bprecover to a different server then move the media from there?
Either that, or set the master server up as the alternate restore server for
that media server. It should then be able to do restores, but it might leave
you with some issues with expiring the images. Good luck.
I have a very similar question. I've got a Solaris 2.8 Master and a
Solaris 2.8 Media Server running 4.5GA. The Master Server lists (in the
GUI) two other Media Servers that no longer exist. How do I remove
them?! Apparently they've been gone for a LONG time, so I'm not as much
worried about
I'm not promising anything but you may want to take a look at his technote. I
know it is written for error code 94's but it does give some excellent methods
of finding information about a media. Worth a look.
