Hi, I had a problem recently with an upgrade of a solaris machine. It was a patch upgrade . After the task, all my emc LUNs were renamed . 'emcpower1a' became 'emcpower7a' and so on. Luckily I had 'volnamed' the devices via format ad hence could fix the mounts in vfstab. But I wasnt able to restore the same emcpowerN names . I tried copying back a couple of .dat and .idx files from /etc. But did not work. Any Ideas?
I know this is an out of topic thing and nothing in veritas is involved. But I was wondering is someone here could help..any document / referral ? Regards, Ajay
