Not sure if you are using vxdiskadm or pure command line. I've
had some of the same errors and have specified with both vxdisksetup and
vxdg that it is sliced and cds=off, so
/etc/vx/bin/vxdisksetup -i -f diskdevice format=sliced
and
vxdg init dg
Fresh install. Try to simply create one disk group with one disk and get
this message
VxVM vxdg ERROR V-5-1-585 Disk group foobar: cannot create: disk group as no
valid configuration copies.
Been on phone with support. Tried 4.0, 4.1 and 5.0 for the same exact
message.
