You can if you have the remote drive mounted with MacFUSE + sshfs/Secure
Remote Disk or Expandrive.
I use externals quite a bite for code reuse for the many projects I
work on. I often end up with something like this.
A project foo, with a directory Library, in which I have set an
svn:externals property to load shared code from bar and baz.
foo/ (svn is svn://svn.mydomain.com/foo)
I have several dozen working copies in my Versions because not only do
I work on most of these repositories but I have to watch for code
changes and do a quick review of them.
However this means that I have to keep them all expanded when I'm
running Versions, even though at most only a few of
