I could put a pattern on, and then in the bag goes all the materials for
that pattern. That would make packing for a show or class I'm teaching
I'm flying out on the 22 and coming home on the 2nd of August. On the 27th
Whiting is having a visit for Team members that I'm driving to, fishing from
Denver to the door step and back.
But I thought we may be able to meet up for a lunch or whatever, a drink

Peggy,
Great idea, I've been doing 'bag-kits' for as long as I can remember. I also
do 'fly pattern kits' for my bench. It may be a bag or a box- whatever is
required, and in it goes all of the things rquired to make a certain style of
fly. I have a box for stoneflies, but a bag or mohair
I use the large zip lock bags, put the stuff for a single pattern with a copy
of the pattern with picture in the large bag. I've already put the end opposite
the zip lock in a 3 hole punch and made punch holes (these can be reinforced by
putting a single strip of cardboard cut to fit the bag in
If things work out, I will be there for the last three days.

Joyce,
I like your idea. I could have a whole library of kits. And if I
take the latest
exotic material that I bought just for the newest wonder fly and put it in
a kit...
six months from now I wouldn't be looking at said material and wondering
Why did I buy this? I probably still
I'm planning on being there also. A get-together would be fun.

Gary,
What happens is, like with my dragonfly/damselfly kit, new materials come up
all the time. I put these in the kit bag too, but I don't take out the
'obsolete' materials. So I have a lot of extrail tail wing material in
the bag that I just won't use for these, but it could have another
Looks like I won't be there this year. I may be in Steamboat Springs from
the 29th through the 2nd if I can get a reasonable flight from here, if
that happens I might be able to take a side trip on Saturday the 1st, but I
can't make any guarantees.

Tony,
It'd be great to see you again. Got some patterns to run by you, and some
personal rope-dub lessons if you are still interested.

Well after almost two years of very little fishing I finally got on the river
and had one of those real good days. They have been running a lot of water
since they shut down in March when the guys were here for the Sowbug. I did get
a few times that I fished from the dock with high water and
The King of Peppers only had one in his box. I find that hard to understand.

I gave some to my friend from California and he broke off all of the ones I

Alan,
If you go to the 'format' selection at the top of the email generation page
(not the main page- this one), click on it and make sure the 'Rich Text(HTML)'
is checked. This brings up a tool bar right above this text typing area that
allows different fonts, bold, italics, etc. Way over to
