Chuck,
Nice PC, welcome to Nerdville.
The notebook keypad is good on the go, but I still hook up a mouse when I'm
working at home.

I built a light box using Kyle Hand's instructions on the McFeathers.com
site, however I had a shadow behind bog streamers, so this year I picked up
a ring flash. It solved the shadow problem and I can use it at shows with a
piece of mat board as a background. Actually I watched someone
I guess I never would have thought of using the cable that comes with my
camera to look at the picture in a size that can be easily seen. You have
given me a great idea, I have a small waterproof video, hm.

I checked my camera out and hooking up to the computer via the cable turned off
all camera functions.
Is there another way. or is this another Oly-glitch?
I thought all cameras worked parallel on screen.

When you hook the camera to the computer, it sees the camera as a USB
storage device. It shouldn’t actually connect to the computer until you tell
it to. Some cameras have a specific switch, most will switch when you turn
the camera to view pictures. Using some picture capture software will allow
My software connects to the camera in the same camera mode as when you
upload your pictures. The release button still works, but the viewfinder
screen is black. That live screen picture you would have on your camera
screen is on the computer screen (the little one to the right on my
picture).

As far as I see Nick is using a canon camera. I used one years ago.
Canon is delivering some software with the camera which allows a remote
control of the device. That means you can control the camera, change
setup. At least with my camera, with the software you had more options
as with the camera
Right on. That's a Canon PowerShot... which we bought after asking Hans W
for advice. We were so happy with that, so after she'd killed it, we bought
another one. LOL
There was a remote capture software coming with that one. A little more
basic than the PSRemote software, but it worked fine. I
Tony: Yeah, I'll see if I can find the exact buyer. if not, I offered mine to
somebody else, but if they don't want it, I'll GLADLY give mine to you. Reason
being is that I bought it back when we were selling on ebay. It also has
several color back drops to put in it that gives you different
Which Power Shot? I had a 610 and traded for a 630. I think the 610 was
better at close ups.

Don: Thanks. That's what I'm thinking about the keypad, cause I think riding
down the road a mouse might not scroll too well on my knee LOL.. I'm just glad
to be able to have more than a few minutes a day to do my computing because of
two teenage boys who have all but taken over this one, Chuck
The one we had was an A620. The one we have now is an SX110.

small Logitech mouse that uses USB to connect, it's great for a lap top.
Great desktop replacement!
