Nick, that's a great idea using the remote software. I will have try that using
the onOne Software DSLRRemote I purchased

From what I can see, he's not flaming anyone for anything. You weren't the
source of what crashed his computer... and I doubt that he believe you would
provide the links if you had known there were something malicious lurking
behind them. A warning about a risky destination doesn't have to be the

How does one come by these camera/PC interface software packages?
Do you need one for each camera model you use?
Do they work with video cameras?
Are they downloadable?
I did a quick Google and didn't find anything useable.

First off, I did not Flame You!. If you feel as if I did; sorry. Not my
intention. My intention was to inform our group of what happened to me. I have
AVG plus Microsoft anti-virus programs. It went thru both of them.
When I opened the company site; my PC went down. Coincidence?
This will be my last comment on this. I do not have the energy for
Sophmoric responses.
Now that sounds like a 'flame' to me!
C'mon guys, go off-list if you want to insult one another.
FYI, a lot of Trojan Horse worms have a built-in delay - sometimes
several days or way more - so there's

That's what I don't see how those geeks aka Hackers do that. I have gone
to a site that I got from a friend I have known for 13 years, and BAM... My
AVG went crazy.. Luckily, it caught about SIX Trojans it said. And I know
that there is NO WAY would that person ever knowing send me anything
ROFL.. I hear ya.. and a password to use it that I thought up that they'll
NEVER figure out... And AVG has caught HUNDREDS of viruses over the years and
as far as we know (knock on wood) has never let any of them through. That's why
I think Lance's links were clean. My AVG would have popped up
Chuck,
from my understanding, a Trojan virus is what it's name implies- hidden
(waiting to attack).
You'll NEVER know where you got it, since it doesn't activate immediately, but
needs a trigger. The trigger doesn't show up as a virus, because it's not one-
it just completes the virus program
The first set of flies arrived over the weekend. And let's try our
luck in the path Mary Dette and all the famous Catskill Dry Tyers laid
for us with a swap, room for 10 and not due till December . And to
keep it a real stretch of our skills let's try for small dries, 16 and

all those programs in here ROFL... I finally got a mouse for my laptop (and
what a difference it makes) but haven't gotten a router yet (Christmas prezzies

I used Lance's links and had no problem..they passed both McAffee and

Computers are weird. My AVG just caught this message and said it was a

Chuck,
Jim uses programs that add little photo-things, and my pc won't pass them
direct either. It shows a pop-up blocker-type message and asks me if I want to
open it.
NOTE! These, at least for my pc, carry over to replies, so Tony's reply to
Jim and the vfb gets a blocker also. I

Some emails from Jim come in clean, so it depends on the email that everyone is
using to make their reply.
We can rid ourselves of this by not replying to a vfb email that gets a
