I know there are some fans of the glass rods here. Personally for small
streams with
little wind I they are more enjoyable to fish than the high modulus carbon
rod.

I agree. My very favorite small stream rod is a 5 wt fiberglass 6 foot rod
that I built myself. That was years ago and it has more than paid for the
