Good Morning Sow Bug Alumni:
I'm closing the swap with 16 participants, since nobody has signed
up for over a week, so When you decide on your pattern / Name of
the fly you'll be tying please email it to me so we can see who's
tying what and try to prevent too many duplicates.
JIMMY D
NOTE:
I will leave it up to the swappers on what fly I will tie.
Will it be The Chili Pepper, Chili Demon or Tony's Froggie.
All replies direct to me, do not reply on the list.

I remember driving up Provo Canyon in the winter. The wind was blowing so hard
that the snow was flying by horizontally, and there were 5 cars pulled off at
the Trestle turn-out. That's when I turn the heater up a notch and
smile.

Larry,
We too have our winter-fishing fanatics, and at one time I was one of them.
This was before the advent of cold-climate fly lines, so line management was
problematic. It would be below freezing, so I'd dip the rod under the water
to de-ice the guides. I myself also would be warmer
I have (in the past) fished when it was so cold that the guides on my fly rod
filled with ice. Not any more. But then, I don't do a lot of things that I
used to do. I can be lured out to play in the snow on my 4-wheeler ( Harriet,
the chariot ). I don't have too much trouble staying warm in
Been there Done that. No more winter fishing. These old bones will not take it
anymore.

Maybe we will have a warm snap. But if we do, then EVERYONE will be on the

You don't have to. I could get some good info from Joyce. She always seems to

I would agree with that. It is one of the reasons that flyfishing is so
interesting to me. Figuring out the puzzle is part of the lure of
flyfishing.
