Don, how sorry I am to hear of your friend's loss. I'd bet that the lady passed away from a deep vein thrombosis which traveled immediately to her heart. Even with a heart exam prior to the anesthetic, which is always done in our facility, just having a break and needing a plate is at high risk f

Chuck, I think you are absolutely correct. Her injury could easily have been such that tiny clots were sent from the injury site to her lungs, I'm not lawsuit happy either, but the stores need to fix their problem so that no further injuries to anyone occur. I'd for sure consult with a lawyer. Jo
