45 crappie and 15 white, (sand bass),yesterday, on the North Bosque river, tribuatary to Lake Waco. Crappie caught on crappie jig, white body, red head. White bass caught on a blue and white Roadrunner. It's unusual to catch that many whites this time of year, BUT, the fishing has been crazy

Neville, I think all trout fishermen have had some version of your experience. It really gets to you when the fish are doing splashy rises ( caddis emergers ?) within feet of your feet. Even knowing what they're after doesn't always help. And I'm sure, at least for me it will happen again.
