Thanks for the fishing report Tony. Crooked Creek is a very attractive spot and
looks very “fishy”. Strange the smallmouths weren’t taking the chili pepper. It
seems you needed a small bluegill fly if there is such a fly. I have had
similar situations with fish that I have hooked being taken
45 crappie and 15 white, (sand bass),yesterday, on the North Bosque river,
tribuatary to Lake Waco. Crappie caught on crappie jig, white body, red head.
White bass caught on a blue and white Roadrunner. It's unusual to catch that
many whites this time of year, BUT, the fishing has been crazy

What an absolutely stunning stream. What a wonderful place to fish
Neville,
I think all trout fishermen have had some version of your experience.
It really
gets to you when the fish are doing splashy rises ( caddis emergers ?)
within feet of your feet. Even knowing what they're after doesn't always
help.
And I'm sure, at least for me it will happen again.
Hi bill how the swap coming any interest on this one if so I'll tie a royal

Hi All,
I thought I'd give a little fishing report
Bill- this Missouri boy has never seen a sea run cut but your photos are
great and the fish are pretty. I would like to get in your swap but at a
loss of what to tie, any suggestion would be helpful. Than ks Dail Graham
