Hi guys,

I would be sooooo grateful to see a good way to compress out of
Adobe Premiere. I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements (consumer version)
and have not been able to compress my videos to the point where I
can post them. Using A.P.E. only, I was able to get them under 5MB,
but they were unwatchable (all squiggly looking and muffled
sounding...).

After e-mailing freevlog help and posting my problem here, I learned
that I need to compress the .AVI file coming out of A.P.E. using
Windows Movie Maker OR Quicktime Pro to get good results. Silly me,
I thought Adobe Premiere El. would do all that exporting web-shrinky
stuff.

I bought Quicktime Pro and used the freevlog (iMovie/Quicktime 7)
tutorial settings... and get an error message every time. DANG! I
feel like I'm so close, yet so far. I also got an error message when
using the 3ivx codec within A.P.E. I'm sure part (all?) of the
problem is that all those compression settings are written in
Martian (to me).

Feeling a bit pessimistic, I haven't tried Movie Maker yet... I
should. I will. Soon. Gotta get right back in that desk chair and
compress again, right? ;-)

Thanks to Ryan(ne) for answering my freevlog queries, to Steve
Garfield for fielding one of her questions, and to "W." for replying
with some specific help offline. You're a generous, smart bunch.

Looking forward to being somebody's Adobe Premiere compression
monkey...

Angela
