Go with FCP HD all the way.If all you want to do is add text to a part of the video, it should be fairly easy and self-explanatory.If once you're using it you feel you still need some help, feel free to shoot me an email. (Or any of the group members, for that matter).

Hi HaroldIn FCP you can add text by pressing the little a icon in the slug. or alternatively make your own title page in something like photoshop and add it in like you would a picture. If you are using FCP though, why not try using imovie for while first to get you head round things. Imovie is
Thanks Paul, I appreciate your advice. I believe I'm going to stick with FCP, though. For one thing, iMovie is much too slow at importing the .mov files I create. FCP simply opens (or imports) them up right away. The cannot overemphasize the difference in time that it takes.

I just wanted to thank you everyone in this thread!!! I had not explored
the usage of Titles much but after playing with them in Adobe Premier
Pro 1.5, I'm just giddy about titles.
While I think Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 is a bit of an over kill for Vlog's
but it will do everything I need it to do
