Okay, I'm being a bit dramatic. It should read "How to Stop Vimeo Downloading". Vimeo has a PAUSE function, but not a STOP. So, when the viewer decides, for whatever reason, to go to the next video on the same page the first one keeps the download going even though the image is paused. When this happens the multiple downloads cause buffering and stuttering problems.
I and others raised this with Vimeo support and have been brushed off. I noticed that YouTube videos will STOP on a right click on the image, but only with Chrome. I've been using vPIP to embed .swf files that I encoded with FlixPro, and that worked perfectly but I would love to be able to use Vimeo or even YouTube because of the versatility of their codecs. They just come out so much better than anything I've been able to compress. Here's a sample of the problem: http://www.pineplainsviews.com/enterprise/triathalon Any ideas out there?
