The people who make LonelyGirl15 have just launched a second show: KateModern. It's on Bebo.com at http://bebo.com/abstractheart It's filmed here in London. She's an art student, who's proficient with Final Cut Pro, so they're doing some more interesting things with video. It's self-consciously fake - the idea is that you play along with it like a game. She and the other characters will respond to comments (they all have Bebo accounts & blogs - as do the production team). It's still getting warmed up, I guess, and to my vlog-drenched eyes it hasn't yet managed to seem 100% natural. But the latest video works well as a creatively made videoblog post, I think, and there are a couple of nice arty/experimental pieces that she's supposed to have made. Yes, it's commercial - but I hope it will also introduce a lot of people to videoblogging. I'm getting stuck in, and also telling her (and other viewers) about other videoblogs I like.
