Depends (IMO) what the PPV content is. Have you looked at Blip.tv for a solution? Plenty of examples of Free or cheap stuff to get viewers to buy premium content. The easiest and obvious is the cable TV model for PPV. Wrestling fans etc ... it works online too. I get lots of emails notifying me

Why not go the simple route? Make a password protected section on your site, use paypal to take payments (I think you can do subscriptions via paypal now), when people sign up they get the password. Sure, there'll be cheaters, but cheaters aren't gonna pay you anyway, they'll get it free or not at

I don't have experience in that area, but I'd be interested in any stats you might be able to pull from this 'experiment', such as whether you could tell how much of your free material was being viewed compared to your PPV stuff and whether people who viewed certain clips were more likely to pay
