That is strange. I encoded the .m4v quicktime files with the newest versions of
Quicktime
and iTunes installed so I would get the 640 x 480 file size.
What version of Quicktime do you have? What browser and platform do you use? I
will see
if I can't figure out what when wrong.
Web and m4v versions worked fine for me on Firefox on OS X.(although
not quite 640x480 as its widescreen, came out to 640x353 or something).
At a guess Richard ended up seeing the 3gp mobile version somehow?
