Well, though I watch more than upload video to YT, here's my url:

Though I'm not sure why, if you already subscribe to me, that you would
subscribe to my youtube channel. They are all the same vids as on my site,
just not ALL the videos on my site. So, I dunno,
I'll join you and see what happens.
If history repeats itself, my videos will be viewed more on my own
site than on youtube.

I have been cross posting my videos over there from Veoh. They get
less views then on Veoh. They get far less then my videos over on
blip. I still use blip mainly because their encoding is second to
none and I want the best quality possible for posting to my blogs and
other places.

For me at least this has nothing to do with assessing where my videos get
more views. I don't expect that just because the videos are there they'll
get watched by a significant amount of people. You have to play - watch
video, comment on them - engage people. Like Rupert said, I'm interested in
Yay!
Yeah. I'm interested in reaching out to a wider base of people...
but Verdi's right. What really turns me on is finding out if I can
connecting with these people the way I connect on my own Blog. It's
a larger investment of time, but it's what I love, so it's worth it.

I've been thinking along the same lines. I was a regular user of
YouTube a long time ago, I used to use it as my quick and easy way
of converting stuff to flash so everyone could view it. I sorta
stoped using it for the most part until recently. I decided to start
posting some of my archives
Hey Rupert,
I dig your sentiment about YouTube, but if you're looking for a quality
community of video
makers (other than Blip.tv, of course), you might want to check out Vimeo...
I'm stunned by
the amazing community of people there. Really. Comments, views. The lot.
I think all of this
I agree with you with regards to the quality. I really do care how my
work looks and want it represented properly. Bad flash encoding doesnt
help matters.
Another thing is how they display my videos. I always shoot in 16:9
format. I dont want there to be black bars on my videos so they can

And sure I will add my vids to youtube, but I don't expect much
feedback, I will just upload my Mp4
Just a few random thoughts
13,000 views of a video on YouTube is nothing to be sniffed at.
Many of my favorite YouTubers get a lot less per video and it doesn't seem
to put them off.
Embrace the possibility that hardly anyone will watch your stuff and you'll
probably have more fun.
Yes,
Thanks for the tips, Mark. That's the stuff. Looking forward to
getting stuck in.
You said, But it's often the people doing their own weird thing for
a few hundred
viewers that make my YouTube experience fun.
Yeah - that's true of most of the people who make my day in the non-
yt vlog
Ditto, thanks for the tips.
We started submitting to YouTube on a regular basis about 3 months
ago. One Sunday morning I woke up to an unusual number of YT
comments...we had been featured. I wrote to the lady who was the
subject of the story to check it out, but to take what some of the

I personally am watching about 20 videos a day, sometimes more
sometimes less depending on what I have planned for that day. I don't
comment on very mane personally, but I am always watching to see what
is out there. If something is really cool or along the lines of what

yeah their flash files of my nice QT files look like shite.
but i thought i would try to see how different (or similar)
it felt to vlogging on my own
For us, the average number of views per video is higher on blip.tv
but there are the handful that get picked up on the larger community
sites for whatever reason. We have more total views on YouTube and
MySpace than our web page/blip.tv due to the few that do well.
