I was in NY all this week and will be posting some videos I did there. I got a great video from author Brad Thor that I'm dying to put up.
I was there with a vlogger from Publisher's Weekly. She's this sweet, older lady from Wisconsin who had never been to NYC before. We both had been given press passes to the event. She signed up when I did, then went down later and followed these yellow signs that said "Press". She gets to a table where some men in suits ask for her credentials. She shows them her name badge for ThrillerFest and her business card for Publisher's Weekly (no actual ID though) and they send her into one of the events. She realized right away that she was not at a book event, since it was Carolyn Kennedy speaking. She had somehow wandered into the Obama rally! It was hilarious. She got some footage (hey! why not?!LOL) and stayed for a while in the press section. I sure hope they have better security if Obama gets to be president! Sheila
