I agree with Chris on this matter. When replacing within Section 108, I think it is wise to retain the original analog copy. If there is roomŠ to do so. In our case, we also take it out of circulationŠ it is an archive copy. Remember that copyright allows 3 digital copies within Section 108. I

I think it's good form to keep the original VHS as evidence if you are invoking Section 108 to justify making a copy of a deteriorating original. I don't think this is required by law though given that Section 108 preservation copies can also be made to replace lost or stolen recordings. On Tue, J
