Greetings all, I want to thank everyone who wrote to me, some great conversations were started.
I heard from 6 libraries. 5 fund their streaming video out of library funds, 1 gets money from a foundation/friends group in addition to library funds. The types of libraries were all different (CCs to ARL research). VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions.
