Thanks ahead of time - this is driving me nuts... I just built and installed ViM 7.0 - its great - so nice...
I am trying to figure out how to make ViM start, by default, to use tabbed windows. I note I can open a new document in a tab - again awesome! However, if I close any of the tabs such that only one file is open, the tab disappears. I looked and looked and looked for some option I could put in my ~/.gvimrc and cannot see what option I need to have enabled in order for a tab to be enabled/on all the time.
