In Vim version 7.4.2066 When repeating the command :diffput using @: or a mapping containing :diffput each change to the buffer that is being put to is lumped into one big undo block. I would expect that either of the uses of indirect calls to :diffput would produce a new undo block like repeating of :diffget with @: does.
I did notice that the expected behavior is achieved if you navigate to the buffer being put to after each indirect :diffput call.
