Have you tried tabs instead of separate windows? Everyone has the way they like to work, so maybe this isn't appropriate for you, but right now I have 77 tabs open for maybe 15 projects, and I can find whatever I want with a simple :tabs command (and I'm sure there must be some plugin to make it e
