Hi, It's easy to see if it's a 128K or 512K. According to the date it should be a Mac 128K, however it can be upgraded. First check the floppy drive: if you see a red light inside then it's a 400KB drive. Now boot it with a bootable floppy and click on the Apple icon and then About: this will sho

Hi, The 400K obviously needs servicing first given you have disk insertion issues. If you don't do this then you will permanently damage the drive. The floppy disk needs to go in as smooth as with an 800K or Superdrive if the drive is properly serviced ( = cleaned, greased and lubricated ). Nic
