I still use my apple adjustable keyboard (and original bus mouse) on my Mac Pro
via a USB adaptor.
I can type on that faster than any other keyboard I have ever had.
Looking forward to using it again on my quadra 700 for a week coming up soon.

IIRC you have to cut off one end and crimp on a new one turned around 180

Most likely Apple did that so people couldn't just use phone handset cords.
