Mac Classic - "Checkerboard" on powerup

I just powered up a Mac Classic. Last time I used it, worked perfectly. Today, checkerboard on the screen, no beeps, fan runs... Pattern isn't always a checkerboard, sometimes the pattern varies. Seems to scroll slowly upward. Any ideas? Thanks! Charles -- - You received this message beca

Thanks for the tips. I suspect caps. Just pulled a pristine SE/30 out of storage as well. Similar (but very small) alternating lines on the screen. I had these things in my basement and they worked. A couple years ago, they were moved to a non-climate controlled storage area. I wonder if that
