Voice record files

I have several voice record files from Mac OS 7.0 and want to convert them to a form that Mac os x can recognize or change them to mp3. I have downloaded ResEdit which is supposed to make this possible. Does anyone know how to use ResEdit for this purpose? L. Kenyon -- - You received
