I might add, that the 9VDC probably shouldn't be exceeded. If it can be exceeded, it's beccause it has a voltage regulator inside of the modem. However, the 900 ma, (or .9 amp) can be exceeded. It might work ok, and won't hurt it if doesn't. However, you might see errors or other problems that mig

I have a Practical Peripherals 14.4 modem that someone passed on to me. It came minus the power brick. I want to test it, before I chuck it to the electronics recyclers. It says on the modem that it is "rated" for 9VDC 1000mA output. I have lots of spare AC/DC converters, but none that fit that o
