Turbo040 in Performa 600?

Is the cache/PDS slot on the Performa 600 compatible with the later (built-in cache) Turbo040 for the IIci? I'm just curious, I wouldn't put it in there anyway the Performa 600 is a bit of a dog, and it's in that damn case I so love to hate (the motivation for building my 7100cx in fact!). FWI
