Best thanks, Gregg, for the links. These documents really helped me to 
fix the matter. I took the drive out of its enclosure and hooked it to a 
PowerMac internally. With  the help of the Fujitsu-manual I managed to 
set the switches correctly, step by step. 
Finally, everything worked well except for the ability to use the "put 
away" command. This was finally fixed with the replacement of my usual 
MO-driver (Silverlining) by HDT 3.0.

Mine is a 2513A with revision 1700. Did I get that right? Would I have to 
mount the drive into a PC to execute a firmware-upgrade?
