I'm running OS 10.2.6 on a 12" G4 PowerBook (which is highly OT :-) but I'm trying to share files with a Mac IIci (which is highly OnT :-).

The IIci is running OS 7.1 with Open Transport 1.1.2 added. It has an Apple AAUI NuBus ethernet card and an Apple "dongle" to connect to RJ-45 and the office network. Works fine and I can Web Surf.

Via the chooser I can connect to my PowerBook and transfer files back and forth. However, if I try to "Connect to server" from the PowerBook to the IIci, i get a login box, enter my password, get a select which disk box (the IIci has two partions on it's HD), but then the selected drive does NOT appear on my desktop!

I can ping the IIci and FTP files from it. What am I missing for files sharing?

John
