I've got my lovely little Quadra 605 here, and while it's not totally on-topic for this list, the question isn't about the Quadra. Assume I'm talking about an on-topic 68030 Mac here, as it is relavant (sp?) either way. ;)
Anyway, this Mac is connected via a SCSI-Ethernet converter to my LAN and is happily doing broadband internet. It's got a modem (now where did I put those drivers....) which it doesn't use. My other Mac has a built-in modem, but the place where it's at has no internet (but a phone, yes). What I would like to do: Have Mac #1 share its broadband over a PPP connection using its modem. Mac #2 can dial in and use said internet connection when I have a need for it. Is there any software that will allow me to do this? Both Macs are running System 7.1 (Mac #2 has 7.1.1) and both have OT 1.1.2 IIRC. Is this possible? Even feasible? Should I get a *niX box and have it do the PPP sharing? I'd rather do it with my Vintage Mac. Thanks in advance, --------------------------------------------------- Alan O'Neil. Mailed from my Quadra 605: FeetsMac!!!
