I picked up a PacificPage PE/XL Postscript cartridge for my LaserJet IIID, but the reason it was so cheap is because it didn't have the PE/XL accelerator and RAM card with it. It does nothing but put a message on the LCD that the PE/XL board is missing.
That card has an intel i960 CPU and 4 megs RAM to drastically boost the speed of Postscript job processing and max the printer's RAM to 5megs. And it also allows switching between Postscript and PCL modes, unlike HP's Postscript or Postscript Plus cartridges that lock it into Postscript only. Anyone happen to have one laying about unused? :) Failing that, how about an HP Postscript Plus cartridge? (It's Level 2 VS the other's Level 1.) The Adobe cartridge won't work, it only works in the LJ/LJII models the HP ones don't. ===== It's total Fandemonium! http://www.fandemonium.org __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
