I prefer Syrinx, myself. It has filters, so you can screen out annoying
tweets, easy follow/unfollow/block access, and whether or not you move to the
newest tweet or stay where you are is a check box in Preferences. MRR Software

If you have not yet synced your apps with iTunes, and are using iTunes
for back-ups, yes. Here's a podcast on it. Be sure not to plug your
phone in to sync it and follow the instructions.
