Thanks. This particular one I had trouble with a couple of days ago was a button, and, according to my sighted husband, occupied an extremely small part of the screen. In fact, he had to get a magnifier to see it! I'm sure a younger person could have seen it but he said he had a lot of trouble.

Turab, I'd suggest you open the KNFB Reader app and on the main screen bottomline menu in the center, locate document type and double tap. This will open a picker item where you select between multi-column or single column document. My KNFB Reader seems to default to multi-column document type
