Hello Keith,
I do not think this has anything to do with your phone as I have experienced
the same phenomenon, today in fact, on my beloved 8 Plus.
I'm not certain if I would describe it as the screen being unresponsive, so
much as I would say that VoiceOver simply drops out. For example, when
Hello All,
I have received several complaints, off-list, about the high number of
"thank you" replies being posted to the list.
As this is a high traffic forum, I would ask that we do our best to keep
such replies to a minimum, okay?
No need to reply to this post, to thank me. (smile).

It is always a good idea as the absolute minimum to make sure you quit all apps
in the app switcher and reboot your phone prior to an update. If it is a major
update, e.g. from iOS 11 to iOS 12 as in this case I usually do a reset network
settings before the update just to make sure if there are

I don’t think it’s your phone, or your screen protector. I have noticed this
same thing since upgraded to iOS 12, however it is very unpredictable. I can’t
reproduce reliably. It happens most often in the mail app. And the solution for
me has been to take the app out of the app switcher and then

Hi Keith,
Do you have a screen protector on? If it is one of those that is connected to a
case, I would take it apart and make sure there isn't gunk between the screen
protector and the screen of the phone.
Good luck!

Are you running iOS12? This is exactly what's been happening to my
iPhone 7 ever since I updated to iOS12. What I do is either press the
home button then open another app or go into the app switcher, remove
the troublesome app then relaunch. Both methods will get things going
again. It's not a solu
Hi, Sieghard:
I did not do anything to my phone prior to upgrading to Ios 12. Screen time
was never turned on, so as you suggest, I’ll try resetting network settings.

Hi,
My iPhone 7 is nearing the end of its Apple Care coverage, so I'm asking
opinions on this matter.
For several weeks now, my screen becomes unresponsive at times, not responding
to gestures such as double taps, etc. I can generally get it working again by
turning off and then back on again
Hi
Go into Settings, then General.
Swipe through this page and towards the bottom is a Reset option. Double-tap
here and there will be an option to reset your network settings.
Hop0e this has helped you.

Hi all,
I confess I'm struggling with this concept and feel I should be able to
make some really useful to me.
I'd particularly like to see copies of any of your shortcuts so I can
follow them through and get some more ideas. Anyone care to share theirs?

Also, if you just updated battery will most likely be used more during the
first couple of days after the update since the phone is reindexing a lot of
stuff.
As Sean said, give it a few days, then do a Reset Network Settings and also,
afterwards, plug in your phone, then turn it off completely
I though the native voice Memos could do this.
