Hello Carolyn, You will need to submit an unlock request to A T & T at the end of your contract as they will not automatically unlock the device. Speaking from personal experience, A T & T is absolutely wonderful when it comes to unlocking devices. I have unlocked many, many A T & T phones

Richard, Go to the VoiceOver settings and look for Typing Feedback. There will be 3 headings on this screen for software keyboards, hardware keyboards, and Braille Screen input. I have mine set to words on all 3 since I don't need to hear each letter or contraction when entering Braille either.
