If you have voiceover on,
Then when you tip the iPad on to it’s side the ipad will tell you its in
landscape with home button to side which ever.
The home button is at the bottom of the tablet,
The camera is at the top and in the centre if I remember correctly,
I think you’re doing something wrong,
I never have that issue when inputting apple id and password.

Well, if you think of an iPhone, with the home button at the bottom, on the
right side are the volume buttons, and on the top side, kind of on the back
edge near the right side is the power, lock button.
The earphone jack is on the top side near the left edge.
The charging port is on the bottom
I'm not sure if this is your issue, but I remember having a similar issue, and
something had popped up that may have been blocking it. I found a dismiss
popup button, and after double tapping that, the keyboard was back.
