I just had occasion to scan something with voice dream scanner. There was a recent update, and I have not used the scanner outside of the Reader app. But I just did it and when I open the app, that tone that you get when you’re trying to line up a scan didn’t happen. I checked in settings, and

You can do this on an Android phone, or at least you could, but I don't see how this would be possible on an iPhone. I think the developers can give you the option of storing things in iCloud, so they would be backed up and then could be restored. I guess they could also make storing your books

I think only once I was able to get a library card without having to get it in person. I was just lucky that I spoke to a nice librarian in Riverside County who after I explained my travel situation issued me a card without me having to go to a local branch. That's always the biggest challenge.
