It is possible that you got an abridged book, in which case most
abridged books do not have chapter announcements. It is the full
length unabridged books that have the chapter announcements.

controlled by any setting. I listen to most of my audible books on my Victor
Stream and any chapter announcements in those books were recorded by the
narrator.

Hi,
As far as I know, there are no special chapter announcements in Audible books.
Maybe the chapters are just designated by numbers, and either the narrator
didn't read them, or you didn't notice them. It's easy to miss the word "one"
all by itself.

At the top of the screen, just a little below the status bar, the app shows
which chapter you are in.
Perhaps if you left the VoiceOver focus there, it would speak it when it
changes.
