It would appear that the time field has been converted into an edit box and, as
Mr. Turner suggested, you do not enter the colon (: ) character.
I was able to add a calendar item, but I certainly do not care much for this

You could use fantastical. You don’t have to buy the subscription for it though
to use it as a basic calendar.

time but not the end time; when I doubletap on the Edit field then go
in to BSI to input the time, the app crashes.
