I never found a Pages button, but found a close tag button for all
previously opened pages.
I hope there's a better way of doing this.

Checking the screen when having a web page open in Safari I found a close tab
button in the top left corner just under the back button. Is this the button
you are talking about to close web pages in Safari. I thought in one post it
was stated to go to the lower right side to find a pages
