Yeah my phone vibrates when it starts up.
Ok, it talks or says something when Voiceover finally starts; but no
indication before that.

I have been in there, there is no such setting for vibrate on boot. On ring
and On silent, that is all.

I thought there was a start up sound or am I wrong? That is on the iPad.

I'd say that's a pretty good indication that the iPad has started

No, no startup sound. The only indication you have is the apple logo on screen.

Hi all, I have a thought concerning the power on. I also have that problem so
here's my thought. What if you plug the mini in and then wait a while for sure
it would come on because when you plug the iPad in you would not have to worry
about how long to hold the button down any thoughts please
This is true too. In regards to the powering on, does anybody have any tips on
how long you should hold down the button? I seem to struggle with that all the
time when I get new iOS devices.

Just to add to this, I think the easiest way to handle this is to power it on,
wait a while, press home to ensure the screen hasn't locked, and then do your
triple click home.

Hi,
The iPad has no vibration motor, so there’s no auditory way to know if it’s
turned on or not, unlike the phone.

Hi all, and thank you so much again for the help. I would rather ask then take
a chance, so my question is once the vibration of the iPad mini is heard then
does that mean that the start up is completed and I can triple click home to
turn voiceover on at that time? God bless, Wren Langley
