I am going to paste parts of a conversation on a list for the Orbit Reader braille display that has brought out what looks like a bug with 40 cell braille displays. Teresa at: vegaspipistre...@gmail.com<mailto:vegaspipistre...@gmail.com> was writing about random letters showing up on her Orbit Reader 40 braille display after the letters "mi" appeared in an app on iOS. I asked for specifics, so she said: Hi, Richard, I'm thinking at this point of these conditions: go to any app in iOS and observe any word with the letters mi. After these letters is either a blank space or random phrases from other parts of the text. Also, every time I repeat this in the same chunk of text, a different set of characters is displayed after the letters mi. Thanks, Teresa Winging its way from my iPod I opened her email and read it on my Orbit Reader 40 braille display and at the point of her message where she mentioned the letters "mi." My display showed two spaces then "ssage is from a mailing list...." That text is clearly from the top of the email where the mail app tells you that This message is from a mailing lsist and click here to unsubscribe or something... Reading the rest of the message and going back to her line about the letters "mi.", I then had the letter k and the time ... I am on an iPhone SE 2nd Generation running the latest iOS 14. My phone is locked to portrait. This is really a serious problem. Feel free to reach out to me or Teresa for further information but I hope I have explained this well enough.
